During one of my cycling journeys across a Crimean plateau, I encountered a small herd of wild horses roaming freely across the landscape. I stopped to photograph them as they gathered at the edge of still water.

Later, I turned the original photograph upside down, allowing the horses’ reflections to become the main subject. The familiar landscape was transformed into something mysterious and dreamlike — almost like a glimpse into another world.

The monochrome treatment emphasizes the quiet atmosphere, delicate reflections and timeless character of the scene. What began as a chance encounter during a bicycle journey became an abstract meditation on nature, freedom and perception.
