Original artwork description
One day, while walking through the forest, I came across this almost magical place. It must have been a snowless winter. The long grasses had turned yellow, dried out, and fallen in different directions. Between them, a narrow path remained.
The landscape has a quiet, atmospheric feeling, somewhere between autumn and winter. It was painted with a limited colour palette over an ochre imprimatura.
The edges of the canvas are painted in a brown-green colour. The painting is finished with varnish.
Despite its small format, the painting feels very cosy, intimate and alive.
