A Scottish impressionist painting in a bold blue and yellow palette, viewed from a woodland high above a loch on the rugged west coast of Scotland. Bright yellow trees in autumn hues fill the foreground, their foliage painted with loose, expressive brushstrokes against deep cobalt and ultramarine shadows.

Through the trees, the land falls steeply towards the sea loch, its dark blue surface winding between towering, rugged mountains. The surrounding hills are steep and dramatic, Layers of blue, indigo and violet give the mountains a powerful sense of scale and depth, while touches of pale blue catch the light on exposed rock and distant slopes.

The loch reflects the mountains in broken, shimmering strokes of blue and silver. Strong blocks of golden yellow in the woodland contrast dramatically with the cool blues of the water and mountains, creating a vivid contemporary impressionist atmosphere—wild, remote, luminous and unmistakably west coast, inspired by the Torridon, Ullapool and Wester Ross areas. of the Highlands.

Painted with a palette knife using quality artists paints on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white square profile wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
