These two paintings were inspired from walking along the lanes near my home in Devon.
The wonderful tangle of dried grass, brambles, ivy and rushes are a lovely contrast with the dark foliage of the hedge behind. There are small splashes of yellow vetch and majestic spires of Angelica.
I have used many layers of paint to give depth and interest.
They are intended to hang side by side as a diptych.
