In this painting, I wanted to preserve the fragile stillness that appears just after the sun slips away but before the night fully settles. I painted it as a memory of a quiet refuge an isolated home wrapped in the last warm glow of day, while the sky cools into deep blues. For me, this moment feels like a breath held between worlds, a reminder of how solitude can feel both grounding and luminous. The contrast of warm trees and the fading horizon reflects the balance I often search for: a place where calm doesn’t erase emotion but gives it space to unfold.
