Dark Sky (2018) Original Oil Painting by Galina Zimmatore

Dark Sky is an original oil painting capturing the dramatic moment when sunlight breaks through a heavy, atmospheric sky and transforms the landscape below.

Deep blues and greens create a sense of depth and quiet intensity, while the bright sun becomes the central point of light. Its reflection stretches across the water, bringing movement and warmth into an otherwise dark and brooding scene.

I wanted to explore the contrast between darkness and light, stillness and movement, and the way a single burst of sunlight can completely change the feeling of a landscape.

Painted in oils on canvas, Dark Sky is presented in a frame and is ready to hang. The painting is in excellent condition, while the frame has a few minor marks.
