Dardy is a small hamlet on the Mon and Brec canal near Crickhowell in South Wales, UK. Adjacent to the Glanusk estate where the Green Man festival is currently held each year. This is one of a series of collages made of the landmarks of the canal which I have made after travelling along it on our small boat, Tarka.
After making initial oil sketches and drawings I have created the collage using pre prepared paper swatches made with oil paints and printing inks. The collage is fixed to Somerset paper that is itself attached to a backing board. The image is mounted in a wide mount ready for framing.
Paper, printing ink, oil paint, board.
