Original artwork description:

This work, entitled 'Dancing' by Julia Shanaytsa, is part of her Yellow Mood series, created in 2022 using acrylic, acrylic felt-tip markers and oil pastels on 80 x 100 cm canvas. The work is inspired by classic works of art depicting dancing girls, which she has reinterpreted in her unique style.

Through her paintings, Julia hopes to evoke a sense of playfulness and fantasy as well as convey the spirit of the times. Her use of colour and brushstrokes reflects her intuitive approach to art, in which she relies on her gut rather than logic. The result is a mesmerising combination of form and colour, where the images in the paintings are depicted in their own space, radiating a sense of theatricality.

These works are not just a visual treat, but a reflection of Julia's artistic philosophy. By telling the story behind her work, viewers can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the artist's vision, technique and influence. Not only will this work make a wonderful addition to any collection, but it will also encourage viewers to reflect on their relationship with intuition, memory and sensory experience.

The artwork is signed on the back and accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.

I am taking extra care to photograph the paintings in a way that most accurately represents the color, textures and size of a painting. However the images you see online, may show a difference due to slight variation between browsers, devices and screen settings.
