Original artwork description
Original oil painting of the view from Cypress Cove in Point Lobos looking towards Carmel-by-the Sea in October at around noon. I was inspired by the way sunlight peeked through the early afternoon shadows on the vertical surface of the cliffs.
Materials used in creating this artwork: Professional quality oil paint on Oil-Primed Linen on ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panel. ACM panel consists of two strong sheets of aluminum bonded to a solid polyethylene core. The panel is coated on one side with a white polyester coil coating and a mill (polished aluminum) finish on the other side. ACM art panels offer a superior support for painting and mounting because ACM panels are virtually unaffected by environmental changes, such as relative humidity (RH) and temperature.
The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. It is listed unframed, and will need a frame to display on the wall. Images showing the artwork framed in home interiors are for presentation of framing ideas only. Frame is not included.
