Like much of my work that celebrates nature, this painting focuses on cucumber plants. When I first planted cucumbers, I was struck by the remarkable evolution of this species. Their ability to grow tendrils that cling to structures, develop thick hairs for pest protection, and produce large leaves to maximize sunlight is truly fascinating.
Nature is extraordinary, and taking the time to appreciate it reveals the incredible adaptations that have shaped it into what we see today.
