Original artwork description
There is a moment before sound becomes music — when breath gathers, when silence pulls tight. Crescendo lives in that moment. From a single point, turquoise erupts and fans outward through a storm of black and white, like a wave just before it breaks. I drew hundreds of fine threads across the centre, each one alive. The monochrome pulls back; the colour rises.
Acrylic and epoxy resin on canvas. Poured acrylic forms the marbled black and white ground, fine linework defines the central burst, and a glossy epoxy resin finish seals the surface — catching light like polished stone and protecting the work for decades. Signed on the front. Edges painted, ready to hang without a frame.
