Third opus in the "Contemplation" series. Made on linen canvas, this abstract lyrical painting evokes elements that are deep and mysterious. A wide band of blue shades crosses the painting diagonally, here like a waterfall, there like curtains hiding chasms of a blue very dark. These blues are surrounded by rather mineral shapes which sometimes fall in snowy or beige cascading, sometimes end in organic colored filaments echoing the second opus.
This abstract expressionist painting was realized in June 2020, it is the result of a long work of composition and research that required mountain walks, isolation, a perpetual struggle with a permanent wind. It marks a desire for calm and solitude in the face of the existential turmoil that has plagued humanity in recent times.
