Folk ornament tree of life (2023) Original Mixed-media Painting by Alina Lobanova

It's original artwork depicted hands with a folk ornament on a background with a green tint. The Tree of Life is the central symbol of the Ukrainian embroidered towel.

When I draw artwork “ Connection”, I inspired by the theme of Cosmogony. I wanted to express my vision through my self-identity.
The cosmogonic work is about different stages of life, from the birth of life to its end. It also represents the idea of the connection between all living and non-living things in nature, the interaction between them, and their interdependence.

The depicted hands symbolize the Divine Power that embodied the world's creation. The hands are holding the roots of a tree as a reflection of the relationship between God/Creator and living beings on earth.

The Tree of Life is the central symbol of the Ukrainian embroidered towel. It has a pronounced main upper flower that symbolizes the Fire of Life. Two angels or birds guard it. These birds are a symbol of our ancestors who protect the Tree.
