A trompe l’oeil painting is for me a complete immersive experience where all my attention focuses to the object I’m painting. It forces me to be completely “in the moment” and for that reason, it is a form of meditation.

It might appear quite a simple set-up but I chose it for several reasons. The conch shell is far from being just a beautiful shell. They have a long history of ritualistic use in a variety of cultures and religions. Ancient believers in these practices have maintained that conch shells hold certain metaphysical properties. In fact, the conch shell is still viewed by adherents to various religions as having an array of distinctive spiritual qualities.

A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included with the artwork.

The painting is carefully packed, sandwiched between two cardboard sheets and layered with bubble wrap to protect them and ensure the painting will reach you safely.
