Communication (2020) Original Oil Painting by Daniil Mikhailov

100 x 70 x 2cm (unframed) / 100 x 70cm (actual image size)

£2,315.29

Two friends sit shoulder to shoulder. They are both so close and so far apart at the same time. A moment ago, they were communicating live and now they are distracted. As different as their emotions are at the moment. There was a break in communication between them, but communication is not broken. We all, I think, recognize ourselves in this situation.
The work is painted in oil on canvas in my favorite technique. A liquid, flowing transparent undercoat and dense covering strokes with a palette knife and brush in the second layer.
