I painted a winding lakeside path and a walker in red to evoke the freedom and quiet pleasure of an autumn stroll. Golden and orange foliage glows against the dark evergreens, while a glimpse of blue water brings coolness and balance. I used bold blocks of color, sweeping brushstrokes, and simple lines to suggest the trees. Pale violet shadows give shape to the sunlit path, drawing the viewer deeper into the autumn woodland.
