Original artwork description:

oil painting on canvas
30x60 cm
year 2021

Last month I was really in the creative phase and I was in a hurry and needed to paint the ideas I had in mind, it was a real emergency ...

A bit like when you get it into your head that you have to do something because you know that otherwise you will be sick, you don't think about anything else, you are nervous and everything doesn't work and everything because you don't do that thing ...

Here that day I was just in that state.

I go to the spring-loaded studio BUT I realize that there are no ready looms and not even new canvases.

I look around and find a canvas (besides all mended !!!) that I had already painted at least twice by superimposing different paintings. I had never finished the painting that was there because I couldn't find its balance, I didn't like it and so I covered it up again.
I have prepared my canvas ready to welcome my new idea!

I worked several weeks on this canvas proceeding as usual, first a quick sketch with chalk,
first draft of the oil color,
then layers of very diluted color to create the effect of transparency and light that I desire.

The subject is a teapot that is about to break on the ground, I have chosen fragile objects to express the concept of seize the moment, do not waste time and appreciate what life offers you because there is no certainty of tomorrow.

I painted this work on a gallery canvas, that is, on a 4 cm thick canvas and deliberately left it without a frame to better convey the idea of the free flight of the teapot who knows where the pieces will fall ?!

signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity

for non-EU shipments, it is necessary to wait for authorization from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and this could lead to a delay of a few days

Materials used:
