Coastal Alignment is an original contemporary abstract painting from my Oceanic Geometry collection, created in 2026. This one-of-a-kind artwork explores the invisible relationship between architecture, water, and open space, where clean geometric forms dissolve into calm reflections and soft coastal light.

While creating this painting, I imagined standing beside modern waterfront architecture just before sunrise, when solid structures begin to merge with the quiet rhythm of the sea. Rather than depicting a specific place, I translated that fleeting atmosphere into abstract geometry, layered textures, and expressive movement. Every shape became a balance between precision and spontaneity, creating a composition that feels peaceful, sophisticated, and timeless.

The artwork was built through multiple layers of professional acrylic paint using palette knives, brushes, scraping techniques, and expressive gestural mark-making. Rich textures create exceptional depth while allowing light to interact naturally with the surface, revealing subtle tonal variations throughout the day.

Its refined palette combines soft blue, pale sky blue, ivory white, warm beige, stone grey, charcoal black, espresso brown, and muted taupe. The cool blues evoke calm coastal water, while the neutral architectural tones introduce stability, contrast, and elegant balance. Together they create a timeless contemporary palette that complements both minimalist and luxurious interiors.

Although entirely abstract, Coastal Alignment often evokes waterfront architecture, peaceful marinas, distant horizons, calm harbours, reflections on glass, and contemporary coastal living. Existing between architectural abstraction and atmospheric landscape, the painting invites personal interpretation while creating a sense of openness and quiet sophistication.

Designed as a large statement artwork, this painting is ideal for living rooms, dining areas, executive offices, boutique hotels, reception spaces, luxury apartments, and yacht interiors. Its elegant neutral palette complements Scandinavian, Japandi, Organic Modern, Minimalist, Coastal Contemporary, and Modern Luxury interiors.

For me, Coastal Alignment represents the point where architecture and nature no longer compete but exist together in complete harmony.

The artwork is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and ships in a tube. This method is particularly safe for oversized works and ensures lower transport costs. Rolled works may be easily stretched upon arrival (placed on wooden stretchers for canvases) and/or framed by a local framer.
