On a hillside, an Italian rustic village called Nesso on Lake Como, merges with bright colors in a complimentary manner that honors the old while embracing the new. Warm colors – deep yellows and oranges and greens – arise from and saturate the landscape infusing jolts of cheer and energy into an otherwise tranquil place. Amidst all of the vibrancy rises a tower, almost leering in aspect, sounding a discordant note. Each right-angled shape was painted with geometric precision.
