City Composition #05 compresses the urban road beneath stacked concrete and shadow. Cars approach through a narrow field of wet light, while bridges and barriers cut the composition into heavy horizontal bands. Unlike the open haze of other works in the series, this city offers almost no sky; space is channelled, controlled and enclosed. Reflections provide the only escape, breaking the rigid infrastructure into unstable fragments beneath the vehicles.

Oil on paper, 59.4 × 42 cm. Unframed. Signed on the front and back. A signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
