In the woodland area of Little Langdale, in the Lake District, lies Cathedral Cave. Surrounded by an old quarry, the cavern makes for some dramatic photographic opportunities. A large stone pillar at the centre, acts as a support structure for this hollow landscape. As light pours in through the entrance of the cavern, this pillar is strikingly lit up against the pitch-black corners. Reflected in the waterlogged bottom of the cave, the symmetry of the stone creates a sprawling abstract pattern.
