A Scottish mountain landscape painting inspired by the hills and woodland scenery surrounding Cannich, near Drumnadrochit on the north shore of Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland.
In this impressionist painting I have tried to convey the remote and tranquil atmosphere, with its changeable weather, of this forested mountain area of the scottish highlands. Painted in a contrasting palette of blue and yellow with touches of green and ochre.

The expressive brushwork and luminous palette evoke the ever-changing light of Scotland—where moody skies, distant hills and open wilderness come together in a landscape that feels both powerful and serene.

Painted with a palette knife using quality artists paints on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white square profile wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
