2020, the Spanish government orders a national lockdown due the COVID-19 pandemic. I had just moved to the region of Catalunya and like the rest of country’s residents, I stayed in partial isolation. To break the monotony of life indoors I bought myself a pochade box for plein-air painting. What a blissful moment it was to roll it in my shopping trolley to the nearby by park and paint the surrounding vegetation.
This painting was done in Montjuic, Barcelona. The mountain overlooks Poble Sec and the football ground is called Campus Performance where the youth from the neighbourhood come up to play.
