Each year, poets from New York and beyond come together for the Poets House Brooklyn Bridge Poetry Walk. The poets find themselves at one end of the Brooklyn Bridge, and embark on a crossing of some 5989 feet, or about 1.8 kilometers.
Arriving on the other side of the East River, the versifiers then declaim Walt Whitman’s poem, «Crossing Brooklyn Ferry», which describes the ferry journey across the East River from Manhattan to Brooklyn at the exact place that was to become the Brooklyn Bridge.
With passion, I captured the vibrant essence of this architectural icon. Using oil, I interwoven Fauvism and Impressionism, enriching the canvas with bold colors and expressive movements.
It is a celebration of structure and urban energy, intended to illuminate your home with an aura of dynamism and inspiration.
