This original painting is inspired by the dramatic Cornish coastline, and the interplay of light and weather that constantly shifts across the sea. I wanted to capture that precise moment when a heavy curtain of rain cloud and sea mist, visible on the horizon, is pierced by a burst of brilliant sunlight. This creates a shimmering track of light across the vast, dark water, with distant islets (The Brisons) and rugged cliffs just coming back into focus. It’s a moment full of atmospheric tension and the raw, beautiful energy of nature. My technique uses many layers of acrylic paint to create depth and luminous effects.

This is a one of a kind artwork, created and painted by me. I always sign my work on the back of the painting and initial on the front. You will also receive a certificate of authenticity on the back of your painting.
