"Brezza Dell'Est" brings Antonino Puliafico’s gestural approach to sea, coast and the movement of water into an original oil painting on canvas. Measuring 115 × 105 cm and dated 2025, the work balances immediate visual impact with close-range surface detail.
Material presence is essential: palette knife gives the work a layered surface in which gesture and colour remain clearly visible. A blue and white palette contributes to the work’s chromatic rhythm.
In Brezza dell’Est (“Eastern Breeze”), Antonino Puliafico captures the vitality of the sea and the monumentality of the lighthouse through a vibrant, textured language. Broad, impassioned strokes animate the sky in a dynamic swirl, while white sails mark the horizon over deep blue waters.
