Original artwork description:

This purportedly abstract composition reveals on further inspection the canvas rectangle acting merely as a supporting arena where a most basic human corporeal dance is being played out. Lovers tangled in the intimacy of sexual union is the theme embedded here within the colorful and striated passages of textured pigment. Anchored by the underside of a woman's rear, amply filling the center of the the picture plane, her blue and white buttocks defined by red and black edges, thrust visually outward unabashedly into the viewer's direct field of vision. Her head rests locked in the upper left corner, facing away, while her left harm cradles her lovers head to the bottom left, himself unaffected by the weight of her body as he gamely burrows beneath her toward the sultry point of intrigue.

A lone erect blue penis, physically detached but spiritually engaged, hovering above and to the right, energetically points leftward in excited anticipation of the culmination of it's satisfying journey to the dark, seductive region sweetly holding steady in the center of the painting, the penis itself being the one outlier in our otherwise "box-like" composition.

Influences, among others, include Max Beckmann, Edvard Munch, Bob Thompson, George McNeil, Richard Diebenkorn, David Park, Francesco Clemente, R.B. Kitaj and Willem de Kooning.
