'Bookcases are always beautiful, because they’re full of books...'
The printed word has shown it still thrives in the digital age and books and bookshelves remain a feature in many homes.
This book spine sculpture celebrates the place books have in our homes and the lasting allure of their simple beauty.
Working with a salvaged collection of books, each has been carefully cut and arranged to create a 30x30cm square with a maximum depth of 7cm. The books spines have been affixed to a premium birchwood panel and the artwork arrives ready to hang on your wall.
The artwork is finished with a 4.5cm deep wood frame and finished in Farrow & Ball's Shaded White eggshell paint.
Paper, Birchwood.
