ORIGINAL OGNYAN CHITAKOV ARTWORK!

2022, "Bonnie" - stone sculpture

This original andesite sculpture on green granite stand is one of the latest artworks of the talented Bulgarian contemporary professional sculptor Ognyan Chitakov, deeply inspired by cubism, postmodernism and geometry. Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow were an American criminal couple who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression in 1933-34, known for their bank, store and gas station robberies. They were eventually betrayed by a friend, and police officers ambushed the couple along a highway in Louisiana, on May 23, 1934. After they attempted to flee the roadblock, police opened fire, killing them. The 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, directed by Arthur Penn and starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway in the title roles, glamorized them with a romantic aura.
The artwork is one extraordinary stone masterpiece and exquisite modern home décor.

"Each stone material is alive and has a soul. I never ignore it and its gravity as well. I try to give each artwork the feeling of lightness." ... by the artist
