Original watercolour painting of a Blue and Yellow Macaw in a jungle scene. I painted the original in my studio using sketches & photographs taken at my local zoo and tropical plants bought from specialist nursery. The background of tropical vegetation is typical habitat for this magnificent bird.

The blue-and-Yellow macaw (Ara ararauna, Linnaeus 1758) is native to Venezuela and Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay. The range extends slightly into Central America, where it is restricted to Panama. These birds can reach 76 to 86 cm (30 to 34 in) long and weigh 900 to 1500 grams (1.9 to 3.3 lbs), making it one of the larger members of its family. They can live up to 35 years and generally mate for life.

Signed on the front and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Each print is mounted in off white card and cellophane wrapped.
