£225

A modern interpretation of the Cuillins of Skye, Scotlan, viewed from across the sea near Elgol, painted in a rich palette of blues. The dramatic mountain peaks rise boldly from the landscape, their rugged forms softened and abstracted into sweeping shapes and expressive brushstrokes. Deep navy and cobalt tones create the shadowed mountains, while vivid turquoise, ultramarine and pale blue suggest distant slopes, reflected light and the ever-changing Scottish sky. The painting captures the wild atmosphere of the Cuillins rather than depicting the landscape literally, with layers of blue creating a sense of depth, movement and tranquillity. A contemporary celebration of one of Scotland’s most striking landscapes, where mountain, sea and sky merge into a powerful blue horizon.

Painted using quality artists paints on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white square profile wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
Please note the frame may differ slightly to the one shown due to availability.
