Nature and trees have always been a central motif in my art, serving as one of my favorite subjects to explore. I often begin my paintings en plein air and complete them later in the studio, but this particular piece was created entirely outdoors in the Botanical Garden of Lisbon.
I was deeply captivated by the striking avenue of towering palm trees and the incredible, vibrant colors of the resident peacocks. Through my work, I aim to share the beauty I see in the world, rooted in a practice of slow, thoughtful observation and created using expressive, living materials.
