Original artwork description
Bloom #29 is a minimalist paper pulp sculpture that explores themes of transformation, renewal, and sustainability. Created from recycled paper scraps left over from previous works, the piece gives discarded materials a new purpose, celebrating beauty through reinvention.
Each delicate circular form is individually hand-shaped from paper pulp and carefully dried. The edge of every "petal" is airbrushed with ultramarine blue, creating a soft gradient that gently fades from deep blue to white. Arranged in a circular composition reminiscent of a blooming bouquet, the sculptural elements evoke both fragility and resilience, inviting quiet contemplation of growth, balance, and renewal.
The artwork is mounted on archival gatorboard, protected with museum-grade anti-glare acrylic, and presented in a custom white wood frame, ready to hang.
