This imaginative painting on rice paper, evolved out of a "train of consciousness" way of working. When I began this piece, I had no idea where it would take me. who ever heard of a Bat wearing a Diploma? The delicately rendered ears and wise face of this creature who proudly displays a blue diploma on his chest was done with pen and ink detailing over gouache paint. This excentric subject, resulting from a chance encounter with symbols and archetypes quietly celebrates the marvelous.
