MonoField Studio is an independent experimental art practice based near Montreal, Canada. Led by Lisa, the studio explores abstraction through reduction, material presence and spatial composition.

Each work develops intuitively through painting, cutting, layering, sanding and rearranging. Acrylic, painted paper and canvas are brought together on wood panels, allowing surface, edge, interval and quiet shifts in colour to guide the composition. Rather than beginning with a fixed image, Lisa responds to the materials and lets each piece find its own balance.

The work moves between painting and object: minimal yet tactile, restrained yet marked by the evidence of its making. Empty space, subtle irregularities and handmade edges are treated as active elements. The resulting works explore form, pause, balance and the tension between what is held and what remains open.

MonoField Studio is a space for experimentation—one where fragments can be altered, unfamiliar combinations tested and new constructions allowed to develop without the need to repeat a single visual language.

Every artwork is original, signed Lisa on the reverse and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from MonoField Studio.
