Painted using acrylic and pastel on canvas, the work was developed through many layered applications of translucent paint, intuitive mark-making, gestural brushwork, and soft pastel interventions. The varnished finish enriches the luminosity of the blues while preserving the softness and depth of the layered surface.

In person, the painting has a luminous atmospheric quality that photographs cannot fully capture. Layers of turquoise, pale aqua, cobalt, icy blue, and soft neutral tones subtly shift depending on natural light throughout the day. Up close, the surface reveals delicate texture, overlapping gestures, translucent layering, and quiet variations in tone that create depth and movement.
