Artwork description
What a crazy looking salamander! I saw it last year in Berkeley. It's white and about eight inches long. It's found only in the high, cold lakes south of Mexico City. It can regenerate parts of its body, weirdly enough. The Zapotecs love this creature for its ability to recreate itself!
I drew the image onto linoleum and carved out the negative space. Then, I printed the raised areas.
