Autumn Reflections (2021) Original Oil Painting by Alisa Onipchenko-Cherniakovska

Original Oil painting by Ukrainian artist Alisa Onipchenko-Cherniakovska
Autumn Reflections captures a quiet moment when the intensity of autumn color meets the cool stillness of water. Brilliant orange and golden foliage stretches along the distant bank, while its reflection dissolves into soft blues, greens and muted violet tones across the surface.
Rather than describing a specific place, I was interested in the contrast between warmth and coolness, solid forms and their shifting reflections. Expressive brushwork and layered oil paint allow the landscape to move between observation and atmosphere, preserving the immediacy of the original impression.
The painting belongs to my continuing exploration of light, color and the changing emotional character of the landscape.
