Original artwork description:

Another of my "Roadside America" series of paintings, this one is located in Knoxville Tennessee. I love the colour red in paintings and will always search out something red in urban or indeed landscape locations, in this case the quite stark red coloured building with the title actually referring to the adjacent building. I wanted a dramatic saturated colour contrast on this one based on a blue/orange complementary with influences of Edward Hopper somewhere in the mix.

Materials used:

Oil
