This original oil painting draws light from restrained grounds, allowing luminosity to emerge from deep, quiet tones. Tall trees rise against a wide blue evening sky, their dark silhouettes framing a luminous break of pale light at the centre, where soft pink and white glow between the trunks. Olive, ochre, and teal canopy forms catch the last warmth of the day, while the dark water below mirrors the trunks and sky in quiet, fragmented reflections.

Rather than depicting a specific location, the painting explores landscape as a space shaped by light, memory, and the persistence of evening feeling. Rich textures reveal new details with sustained observation.
