Atmospheric Study No. 11 (2026) Original Oil Painting by Daria Zavadenko
28 x 28 x 2.5cm (framed) / 20 x 20cm (actual image size)
£216.29
Original artwork description
Part of an ongoing series exploring the relationship between horizon, atmosphere, and landscape space.
This original oil painting investigates light, atmosphere, and perception through a reduced landscape language. Built with expressive palette knife marks and layered oil paint, it balances abstraction with the quiet intensity of a single point of light.
A small, glowing golden disc hovers above the horizon, its warm light spreading across a band of coral and amber sky before tracing a soft vertical reflection through the textured water below. Cool blues and slate greys frame the upper composition, while deep indigo and fragments of white build a weighted, textured foreground across the lower half.
Rather than depicting a specific location, the painting explores landscape as a space shaped by light, weather, and time. Rich textures reveal new details with sustained observation.
Part of the Atmospheric Studies series.
