Original artwork description
It's obvious that this painting is completely different from all other works of mine. I usually fill my paintings with many characters and especially tango dancers, but this painting has so many layers that it's also took quite a while to accomplish. You can see all stages of the process. First I have painted the canvas in blue and waited till it's dry. Then I have painted abstract red clouds, only then did I paint a couple of layers of clear ocre and darkest, so-called Van Dyke, brown.
I like to think of this painting as a symbol of security. For some people the sense of security comes watching an image of an angel, to me this standard "pretension free" shape of a house produces the same feeling. Having a roof over one's head, experiencing calmness and peace is a dream of anybody. I call this painting architects house because my friend who is an architect has three similar paintings like this. Also, I think that being an architect and building a house for one self, the main purpose is to reach simplicity and harmony.
