I love painting pools. This one glows in the darkness, suspended between dream and reality. Palm trees stand like silent witnesses beneath a night sky, while the luminous water, which radiates unnatural, becomes both an invitation and a warning. The scene feels familiar, almost comforting, yet something remains unresolved. The empty pool ladder suggests a recent presence or an anticipated arrival. I worked very hard the colors; I wanted a cinematographic style and I worked a strong contrast between a vibrant turquoise pool and the deep blues and brown surroundings. A strong painting that invites contemplation, curiosity and perhaps a slight feeling of disquiet, as something could happen.
