Ancient Ghosts (2021) Original Acrylic Painting by Ansgar Dressler

Dark, ghostly figures emerge from a misty field of white and silver gray. Streaks of black, charcoal and warm bronze run down the canvas like rain or melting wax, and as you look longer, the shapes turn into a silent procession of ancient spirits. Crackle paste gives the surface a weathered, almost archaeological texture that changes with the light.

A calm yet mysterious monochrome piece that adds depth and atmosphere to a modern living room, office or hallway, and pairs beautifully with black, white and gray interiors.
