Almost D&G (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by Kseniia Turik

100 x 120 x 3cm (unframed)

£2,170.08

Almost Dolce — almost, but not quite. I painted this in a palette that always reminds me of Sicilian majolica and the ceramics of Dolce & Gabbana: deep indigo, pearl white, silver, cobalt. The same dense Mediterranean blue, the same luminous white opening against it like breath on cold glass. The form does not open outward — it pulls itself inward, toward a single point where everything begins. Fine dark lines were drawn through the surface while the medium was still alive, giving the bloom a memory of motion. Something has just happened — or is about to. The work belongs to my Through series: layers of acrylic, lacquer and epoxy resin where light enters the surface and stays inside it. From a distance it reads as a single dark bloom; up close it dissolves into pigment, texture and reflection. Exhibited at Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, 2025. Acrylic, lacquer and epoxy resin on canvas. Signed front, signed and dated verso. Certificate of Authenticity included. Ready to hang.
