A lone surfer heads home across the sand, the sea glimmering under a sky touched by evening. Having surfed a little here and there over the years (never very well!) I know the feeling of the sand under one's feet after a time in the surf, the sense of satisfaction and perhaps a little exhaustion after battling the waves ! So I really enjoyed painting this particular piece!
