Aesthetics meets harmony (2023) Original Wood Sculpture by Roland Köpfer

The abstract organic shapes are made from a solid piece of fine walnut. The surfaces are sawn, drilled and processed with a chisel, then rasped and finely sanded. Treated with a water-repellent wax mixture, the two sculptures have a satin sheen. The precisely fitting lid allows the drop with the work number 1048 to become a vessel or bowl because it is deeply hollowed out. They only lean on the two sculptures and thus create an extremely aesthetic harmony, but can also be presented independently of each other. Small gaps that emerged during drying were filled with a mixture of beeswax and the dust of a bog oak tree.
The individual dimensions are 35 x 19 x16 cm and 34 x 27 23 cm. When set up together, their space requirement is approx. 40 x 30 x 23 cm. The weight of both sculptures is 3.1 kilograms. A certificate is included, the sculptures have the Singet roko (Roland Koepfer) carved into the lid.
