A Thousand Stories 36 (2026) Original Oil Painting by Alexeï Yakurin

An oil portrait on canvas board depicting a young woman with her dark hair swept into a loose top knot, a few soft strands framing her face. She's rendered in warm, sun-washed tones against a soft periwinkle-blue background, with a pale yellow top revealing bare shoulders. Her expression is calm and contemplative, with delicate green-hazel eyes and softly blended skin tones that shift from warm peach to cool shadow along the jaw and neck. The loose, painterly brushwork in the hair contrasts nicely with the smoother rendering of the face.
