A Shared Moment (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Samantha Malone

"A Shared Moment" is a large abstract painting filled with bold color, expressive brushwork and overlapping forms. Abstract figures and shapes seem to meet and share a fleeting moment, creating a sense of connection while still leaving the scene open to interpretation.

Warm orange, pink, mustard, brown and green give the work a rich, balanced palette. Visible brushwork, layered paint and black outlines bring energy and subtle texture to the surface.

I'm influenced by a combination of contemporary abstraction with figurative elements and subtle mid-century modern techniques, particularly in the flattened shapes, graphic forms and color relationships. The work is a substantial statement piece designed to bring color, character and presence to any interior.
