A Path Through Bougainvillea (2026) Original Oil Painting by Olga Egorov

Inspired by a photograph I took while travelling in Galilee, this painting began with a quiet sunlit path surrounded by lush greenery. In my imagination, the scene transformed — I added abundant pink bougainvillea cascading over the path, filling the landscape with colour and light.
Expressive brushstrokes, vibrant pinks, deep greens and cool blue shadows capture the warmth of a Mediterranean summer day. Rather than reproducing the original place exactly, I wanted to convey the feeling and memory of it — a peaceful path inviting you to step into the sunlight.
